I can't reliably compare it to the Canons as I only really use those when having a casual look if clients bring them onto my workshops. Same for the Sony. It was bright though and I could make everything out in the dimly lit room. I never have had a problem with the D3's viewfinder even with moonlit Badgers! Rich. Thank David.
