GEAR

First off please remember you can take great pictures with almost any camera. Many people think all is lost until you have the top end stuff. It really isn't. They're just tools to facilitate your vision.

As of the moment I am in the Nikon camp. Their equipment has always provided me with the speed, reliability and quality that wildlife photography demands. The list below represents my primary, most used gear. There are also a lot of odds 'n sods that help get the job done.

Please note I have no affilitation with any of the companies listed below. I (unfortunatly) don't get given anything and wouldn't use it for long if it didn't cut the mustard! I break things easily.

- D3 Bodies

- D200 body (emergency backup if the d3's self destruct)

Lenses play a huge, if not defining part in the final (technical) quailty of your images, so the quality over quantity rule definatly applies here. I have used many different (Nikkor) lenses, but the bulk of my work is done with my three wise men...

The 24-70, 70-200 and the 200-400.

I use a variety of bags and accesories and use the following companies gear, which I have found to be great.

- Nikon SB-800 speedlights

- Crumpler and Kata bags

- Sandisk compact flash cards

- Gitzo tripods and heads

- Optech straps

I also am a recent mac convert. All my images are cataloged and processed in Adobe Lightroom with a few heading into photoshop for selective noise reduction.
